JEFF HALPER, leading Israeli peace activist, discusses the political situation in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and various options for resolving the struggle, including the two-state, one state or bi-national solutions and possibilities for a regional confederation.

JEFF HALPER (Ph.D.) is Coordinator of the Israeli Committee Against House Demolitions (ICAHD), former Chair of the Israeli Association for Ethiopian Jews, and member of the U.N. Committee on Palestinian Rights.

In 2006, together with Ghassan Andoni, he was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize by the American Friends Service Committee.

In addition to numerous articles and op-ed pieces on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict published internationally, he is author of “Between Redemption and Revival: The Jewish Yishuv in Jerusalem in the Nineteenth Century,” “Obstacles to Peace: Reframing of the Palestinian-Israeli Conflict,” and most recently “An Israeli in Palestine: Resisting Dispossession, Redeeming Israel.”
